Mission and concept of R4SES
The R4SES project has two cooperation missions regarding research side and educational side:
- Research: establishment of a common research infrastructure enabling the mutual exchange of scientists and students and joint research on social and technological innovation as a contribution to the sustainable development of societies under the conditions of globalization.
- Education: development of joint graduation programs focusing on Msc and PhD studies to facilitate mutual careers of young scientists in the EU and APRA economies.
The cooperation with the APRA partners focuses on especially economic and social transformation processes and their consequent changes in societal values. Specifically, issues related to biodiversity, ecosystem services, climate change, human well-being in urban development, and the governance of the environment and natural resources will be addressed through developing and validating model approaches to human-environment relationships.
